This Summer, Shaver Hall arrives right on cue. Opening in the final week of June inside a historic Midtown East landmark, it’s your home base for America 250 in NYC. Close to everything, easy to get to, and exactly where you want to land between plans. If you know, you know!
The Dates That Matter (Plan Accordingly)
July 1–3
The New York Public Library puts the original, edited Declaration of Independence on display. Not a replica. The real thing. It’s a rare window into history and a very New York flex to casually add to your afternoon.
July 3–8
Sail4th 250 takes over the harbor with more than 70 tall ships from around the world. They’ll sail past the Statue of Liberty, dock along the waterfront, and turn the skyline into something you won’t see again anytime soon. Cue the Blue Angels – and all the sailors coming in for Fleet Week (moved from May to July this year only).
July 3
For the first time ever, Times Square hosts a summer ball drop to kick off the 250th. Fireworks, confetti, full spectacle. Yes, in July. Yes, it will be amazing.
July 4
Independence Day in New York means one thing: the Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks. The East River lights-up, bridges glow, ships line the water. You can fight for a spot outside or do it smarter and come to Shaver Hall for a watch party like no other!
Your Plan Between It All: Shaver Hall
Shaver Hall sits in a landmark Midtown East building with its own sense of history, reworked for how the city moves now. And all July, it’s dialed in for America 250:
- Watch parties for the moments everyone’s talking about
- Live entertainment that keeps the party going
- Drink specials that make “one more” an easy call
Pre-fireworks, post-harbor, or when Times Square gets to be too much, Shaver Hall is where you reset.
Do July Right
America 250 turns New York into a month-long event. You’ll hit the landmarks, catch the fireworks, and probably end up somewhere you didn’t plan.
Just make sure you have a place to fuel up, hydrate, and meet up with friends.
